Dr. M P Sukumaran Nair, Chairman, Public Sector Restructuring and Internal Audit Board of Government of Kerala, has a professional expertise spanning over 40 years in the Government and industry in India. Formerly Director Centre for Green Technology & Management (CGTM), Cochin, India and Central Railside Warehouse Company Ltd (www.crwc.in ), Govt of India, he was earlier Special Secretary to Chief Minister, Government of Kerala, India looking after development projects, project monitoring and programme implementation. He is also Chairman Chemical Engineering Board, Inter-disciplinary Engineering coordination Committee of the Institution of Engineers (India), He was also member Ethics Control Board and Chairman of the Cochin centre of the Institution, Managing Director of the Travancore-Cochin Chemicals (TCC) Ltd, Cochin, and Chief of Production and Corporate Planning at M/s Fertilizers and Chemical Travancore (FACT) Ltd, India. He holds BS degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and is a Postgraduate in Ecology and Environment. Dr. Nair also has an MBA (Marketing), PhD in Management and has published more than 100 technical/management papers at various National/International Forums /Publications.

He is a regular contributor to Hydrocarbon Processing, Nitrogen and Syngas, Fertilizer International, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Weekly and Chemical Industry Digest and a reviewer of ASM International and UNDP Millennium Ecosystem Assessment reports. He is a UNEP expert and contributor to the global environmental outlook GEO-6.

Besides being a corporate manager and researcher, he is well experienced in planning, design, operations and troubleshooting in the processing industry. His specializations include consulting in corporate management and industrial development strategies, project economics and asset management, facilities planning, engineering, design and consultancy management, project TEFR and DPR, pilot plant scale up, project management, monitoring and control, turnaround strategy for sick industrial units, process plant environment, health, safety and risk management and technical presentations.

Dr. Nair is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India), was Chairman of its Cochin centre, Member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and the European Federation of Chemical Engineers (EFCE). He is very actively associated with various Professional bodies and Institutions and serves on several expert advisory committees to the Central and State Governments in India.
